Delta is one of the oldest and most widely used airlines in the United States. It operates in over 50 countries and covers over 275 destinations.
Travelers can book and manage their reservations directly through the Delta app or website. Apart from flight reservations, they also provide other services such as hotel reservations, car rental, vacation deals, etc.
However, new reports on the micro-blogging site Twitter (1, 2) suggest that many users are having difficulty accessing the Delta app and website.
Many users are reporting (1, 2, 3) that the Delta app and website are currently down or not working for them. Here are some reports for reference:
@Delta @DeltaSupportLC my account has been locked, provided required information, reset password and cannot login. Error message received stating that an account cannot be found. Support said the website was down? Is this true and an ETA on a fix? (Source)
@Delta what’s up with your app???? He logged me out. He won’t let me log in saying he can’t locate my account and I reset my password several times. (Source)
As seen from the reports above, the Delta app and website are not working, and it seems the issue has persisted for a few days now. Therefore, the persons concerned cannot log in.
It’s frustrating because users can’t check their flight status and make reservations because they can’t log in.
Fortunately, Delta Support was quick to acknowledge this outage and confirmed that they were working to resolve the connection issue with their app. Here is the full statement:

Update 1 (August 2)
3:33 p.m. (IST): It looks like the Delta app is still not working for a lot of new reports (1, 2, 3) arrive. Users report that the app crashes for them.
Additionally, Delta Support is now asking affected individuals to contact them via private message.

Update 1 (August 17)
1:02 p.m. (IST): Delta support has now confirmed that the issue with their app has been resolved as they have not received any user complaints that it is down.
We have not received any notification from passengers about the app being discontinued and we have just accessed the Fly Delta app and it is indeed operational. Please share the following details so that we can review your specific information. (Source)
